Everything and Anything

Living with Jesus as my everything makes life logical, through both the hard and good times. Having Christ as your all and all is accomplished only through keeping your eyes on Jesus, as it says in Colossians 3:1 “If then you have been raised with Christ, keep looking for the good things of heaven. This is where Christ is seated on the right side of God.” Through Christ we don’t need to fret about the old ways because now we rest in Him. Colossians 3:3 says, ‘’You are dead to the things of this world. Your new life is now hidden in God through Christ.” You no longer depend on worldly things but now look forward to the future with Christ, how exciting!

Yet I Say it Again, a Tiger Can’t Change Its Stripes

No nonsense about it, some will try to steer you wrong by preventing you from listening to Jesus. Colossians 2:8 says, “Be careful that no one changes your mind and faith by much learning and big sounding ideas. These things are what men then dream up. They are always trying to make new religions. These leave out Christ.”

A tiger cannot change its stripes by just dreaming about it, somebody can’t be saved by only following the laws. Christ has to change his heart, Christ has given us access to God by dying on the cross and washing away our sins with His blood. With Jesus as our Savior, He has removed from us the penalty of death and having to follow the law perfectly-which we alone cannot do. Psalm 10:12 says, “He has taken our sins from as far as the east is or the west” Jesus saved us from hundred of laws, yet I say it again, God is good!

Though we are saved, it won’t prevent us from be derailed by Satan’s tricks-we are still human. But don’t fall for the tricks but  stay true to Jesus, pray for help, and meditate on His Word, there’s no nonsense about it.

The Root of Peace

Peace is a beautiful aspect in life. You can see why this term is everywhere since this world is naturally chaotic. People attempt to find peace on their own without Christ, yet cannot because he is the root of peace. He gave peace to believers, for in the afterlife we have something to look forward to. As it say’s in John 11:25 “Jesus told her, I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.” He provides those who believe in him a peace in heaven and on earth as it says in Proverbs 1:33 “But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.” No need to worry, we can freely live in peace because of what our gracious Jesus did, how great our God is.

Bite Bread not Bunnies

We need to analyze all facts to know what is a true statement in an argument, confirming what’s true or if someone is wanting to be an instigator (like a biting alligator). We’re not animals, no need to bite as the Judaizers did in Galatia. Spreading false information causes  disruption by causing conflict in the church instead of being led in truth by the Spirit. As it says in Galatians 5:15, “If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.” Not all disagreements are wrong, but they can turn wrong once you begin to bite/devour each other over anger and petty differences in opinions. Instead be lead by the spirit. Step back, pause, and say to yourself, “hold it, those guys have a completely off the wall points of views, but, I’m no wolf growling or piercing with fangs, I’m not biting them.” Pivot from anger,  instead letting the fruit of the Spirit win. Don’t act as an animal who is only thinking about his hunger and willing to start an unneeded fight, attacking the poor little bunny just bouncing around. We need to put the Spirit first in love, not having a selfish attitude to devour others. If you let the flesh gain control, you will sin in your anger, and devouring the innocent.

Opposite of these wolves are believers who walk in the spirit, as it says in Galatians 5:16, “I say then, walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” Let the Spirit take control. By doing so your   concept in life will change and you’ll begin to live with Christ’s guidance and his Spirit  will lead you in your life. Bite bread not people.
